The Vision Behind the Conference
I am passionate about dreams and visions because this is one of the ways in which God has been connecting with me my entire life. As I have considered my own exploration of dreams and visions and deepened my insight into the way that I have come to understand my relationship with God, who God is, and what God desires of me.
It is important to understand that dreams and visions cannot replace the word of God, nor can it replace our private quiet time of prayer and meditation. Therefore, it is my prayer and belief that you will experience some hidden truths at this Conference that will validate for you that the dreams and visions you have been experiencing are from God. Even in 2026 this revelation will be invaluable, as you will see biblically how dreams and visions are an integral part of our faith tradition.

Reverend La Wanda is an Itinerant Minister in the 4 th Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, spiritual daughter of retired General Officer, Dr. James C. Liturgical Dancer
Breyuna Phipps is a dedicated woman of faith, proud newlywed, mother, and passionate loctician who strives to serve God through both ministry and daily life. She became a member of Bethel AME Church, where she faithfully serves through the liturgical dance ministry, using her gifts to inspire worship and encourage others in their walk with Christ. With a heart for growth, creativity, and service, Breyuna is committed to dreaming boldly, walking in purpose, and allowing God to lead every step of her journey. She is honored to be a part of the Dreamers Conference and looks forward to connecting with fellow believers who are pursuing God's vision for their lives.

Liturgical Dancer
Breyana Pounder has been passionate about dance since early childhood. She began her dance journey at the age of 5 through liturgical dance at Bethel A.M.E. Church in Memphis, Tennessee. Today, she serves as the leader of the church's dance ministries. Throughout the years, she has had the opportunity to minister through dance at MCAM, Annual Conferences, Church Programs, Youth and Young Adult Annual Conferences, RAYAC Annual Conferences, and many other special events. Her love for performing and sharing her faith through dance has continued to grow throughout her journey. Read more.
Sis. Jessica Abutu
Psalmist
Jess is a devoted wife, mother, healthcare professional, and passionate worshipper who carries a heart for both healing and ministry. With a background in nursing, Jess serves others with compassion and excellence, extending care beyond the clinical setting into every space they encounter.
As a guest psalmist, Jess ministers through song with authenticity and spiritual depth, creating an atmosphere that invites others into the presence of God. Grounded in faith and strengthened by family, Jess’s life reflects a commitment to serving, uplifting, and bringing hope to both individuals and communities.
Bro. Corey Travis
Musician
Corey Travis is a regionally known community activist, business owner, educator, graphic designer, hospitality specialist, and professional musician with mixed performance ability in percussion, keyboards/piano, and vocals. Corey began his performing arts journey in the 1st grade taking piano lessons and soon learning other instruments which lead to playing marching percussion. He pursued a degree in Music Education and performed as a member of the Miles College Choir, later becoming a percussionist for the University of Memphis Bands where he specialized in melodic, marching, and hand percussion. Corey is a proponent of teaching percussion and music to youth and has created numerous successful performing arts programs in the Mid-South area. His latest community project is the founding of the Memphis Youth Arts Initiative, providing pageantry performance opportunities to the youth of Memphis as a nonprofit organization.
