The Vision Behind the Conference
I am passionate about dreams and visions because this is one of the ways in which God has been connecting with me my entire life. As I have considered my own exploration of dreams and visions and deepened my insight into the way that I have come to understand my relationship with God, who God is, and what God desires of me.

It is important to understand that dreams and visions cannot replace the word of God, nor can it replace our private quiet time of prayer and meditation. Therefore, it is my prayer and belief that you will experience some hidden truths at this Conference that will validate for you that the dreams and visions you have been experiencing are from God. Even in 2025 this revelation will be invaluable, as you will see biblically how dreams and visions are an integral part of our faith tradition.

Pastor R. Janae Pitts-Murdock, a native of Detroit, Michigan, and ordained into the gospel ministry at New Bethel Baptist Church under Rev. Robert Smith, Jr., is a lover of God and God’s people. Pastor Janae is a lifelong learner who believes that excellence honors God, and for her, anything less is unacceptable.

Matthew 5:8 says, “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.” Reverend LaWanda is a woman of God who loves the Lord with all her heart, soul, mind, and strength. She is a joyful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-love, and Godmother who has room for more. Reverend La Wanda is an Itinerant Minister in the 4 th Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, spiritual daughter of retired General Officer, Dr. James C. Wade, and the Founder and Lead Ministry Coordinator of Pure At Heart Ministry, a ministry empowered by The Holy Spirit, chosen to bring healing and wholeness to families, one heart at a time. Dr. Cindy Schwartz, Ph.D.
Workshop Facilitator
Rev. Dr. Schwartz is a Presbyterian minister who recently started a new positions as a spiritual director for Germantown Presbyterian Church. She graduated from Princeton Theological Seminary in 2009 with her Masters of Divinity. Prior to her current call, Dr. Schwartz was a pastor in Cordova and Nashville. Dr. Schwartz, who also holds a Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Mississippi, was the Director of Living Waters House in Brownsville, TN, from 1999-2005. Living Waters House served both pastors and church members from across West Tennessee in growing faith through spiritual direction. She is married to Jonathan, and they have three adult daughters and one spoiled cat.
Rev. Sarita Wilson-Anderson
Liturgical Dance Minister
Rev. Dr. Sarita Marie Wilson is a native of Hampton, VA, and currently resides in Memphis, TN. She is an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church and is an associate minister of Saint Andrew AME. Dr. Sarita is an anointed and gifted spiritual leader who lives according to Romans 12:1 by presenting her body as a living sacrifice to God through the ministries of preaching and dance. Dance the Word is the mantra on which Dr. Sarita’s ministry is founded. She has served as the Minister of Dance for Saint Andrew for almost 30 years and is sought after nationwide to share her unique spiritual gift of dance ministry. READ MORE

Teresa Cheeks Wilson
Psalmist
Teresa Cheeks Wilson is the co-founder of & Standing on the Shoulders of God & Outreach Ministry which cultivates spiritual growth, encourages discipleship and promotes reverse mentorship, thereby creating a safe space, no judgement zone for sisterhood and restorative healing. Wilson loves to sing and worship. She is a psalmist and member of Determined, a local contemporary gospel group.
Wilson is a graduate of The University of Memphis (formerly Memphis State University) with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a minor in Marketing. She is retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis – Memphis Branch as a Community Development Advisor.
She greatly desires to fulfill God’s purpose for her life. She is “confident of this very thing that He who began a good work in her will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6)

Musician
Jamie Murphy, Musician, Creative, & Multimedia Consultant, with over 30 years of experience serving the tri-state area and beyond. Former instructor of Electronic Media Production with formerly MCS & MLK College Preparatory School.
Served as Minister of Music, Choir workshop clinician, & media production staff with various churches including Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church , St. Andrew A.M.E. Church, New Salem Baptist and local area businesses. Currently serves at Growth Central Tabernacle Church music ministry in Bartlett, TN.
